Minutes - EAA Chapter 898

February 5th, 2008


The meeting was called to order by Chapter President Kurt Stofko at 1935 Hours.

There were 18 members present
.
The minutes were read.

The following are corrections to the minutes:

Bob Palamara won the 50-50.
Young Eagles will fly July 26, not July 1

The Minutes were approved.

A Tour of McGuire AFB is planned for May 17, 2008. We will meet at Thunderbird Lanes, just off-post. We will be escorted on an Air Force bus during the Tour. ID credentials are a must and will be discussed at future meetings.

Greg Piney will do workshop April 15th.

Bob Newman will do workshops May 20th and June 17th - a 2 parter.

John Vermeylen will do a program on Aircraft Certification at June meeting.

There is talk of building more hangers at Lakewood.

Miller AP should break ground for a new terminal in March.

There was discussion of acquiring a hanger for our Chapter. A motion to rent hanger and storage space failed.

There was discussion of honoring Leo McDonald for having flown many-many Young Eagles. A specific motion failed.

The meeting was adjourned at 2115 Hours.
