Minutes-EAA Chapter 898
 
March 4th 2008
 
The meeting was called to order by Chapter Secretary Ed Hamilton at 1938 Hours.
 
There were 14 members present.
 
The Minutes for the February 5th 2008 meeting were read and approved.
 
Chapter President Kurt Stofko arrived at 1945 Hours and assumed chair.  Ed left shortly afterward due to illness.  Kurt provided additional notes.
 
Bob Palamara with a second from Jim Candoletti motioned to that the Fly-In during the County Fair July12 or 13.  Motion passed.
 
It was suggested that Kurt send an e-mail to see who is willing to participate in running the event.  It was further suggested that we put the event on Funplacetofly and Barnstormers.
 
There was a report by Greg Piney on Pearl Acres in Monmouth County.The property, always up for sale, is off the market.  There is not much activity there.
 
The Black Sheep are meeting at the Emergency Management Bldg at 7 PM March 27th.
They are meeting with the Air Traffic Controllers from McGuire.  Everyone is invited.
 
Hugh Waller began a discussion on the Chapter building a airplane.  Vince Inzinna and John Vermeylen volunteered to check with other groups building planes.
 
Hugh Waller with a second from Harold Applegate Made a motion for the Chapter to buy a airplane kit.  Discussion continued. It was suggested that Kurt e-mail everyone so the Chapter can have a full discussion.  Kurt will contact Oshkosh Re: the building and owning a airplane.  The Motion was tabled until the May meeting.
 
There was no 50-50.
 
Vince Inzinna gave a talk on Gyrocopters.
